From Us to You

Dear Expectant Mother,

We can only imagine the difficult and unique journey you are on right now, and although we cannot fully understand your experience, we want to express our gratitude for the incredible decision you have made to bring a new life into the world.

We are Ecaterina and Alexandr, and we have been married for almost a decade. We have always dreamed of having a big family, with our home filled with the joy of children’s laughter. However, we have encountered fertility challenges that have made that dream difficult to achieve.

We have created a special space in our home for a child, with toys and a cradle waiting for them. We have been busy preparing for the arrival of a little one, including finding a comfortable car seat for them. Our first language is Russian and we will raise your child in a bilingual home. We already have experience with children and regularly take our nephews on trips to the nearby playgrounds. We also have a loving cat.

As a hobby, Ecaterina enjoys baking cakes, while Alexandr enjoys playing the tuba and watching football. We come from a large and friendly family who often gather together and go on vacations. We are also active in our local church community. We can already imagine Ecaterina baking cakes and other goodies together, while Alexandr teaches them to play football. In the winter, we will bundle up and make snowballs and go sledding together as a family. At Christmas, we will pass on our tradition of donating gifts to children who don’t have any. Your child will grow up with a loving and friendly family with cousins and many friends from our local church.

We have so much love that we want to give to the child that you will bring into the world. We pray for the health of you and your baby. We promise to love and care for your child. They will know of you, their birth mother and we will send you photos of them growing up if you would like.

Why We are Choosing to Adopt

We decided to adopt because we love children very much. When we got married, we immediately wanted to have children, but we couldn’t get pregnant and after a couple of years we went for a checkup and found out about infertility. We were very upset to learn this sad news. We lived with this pain for several more years and then, after 10 years of living together, we decided to adopt. We really want to become parents, we want to raise a child together. We love our nephews, but we want to love our baby, we want to wake up at night and feed the baby, change clothes, bathe, read children’s books, travel together, buy clothes, toys, and gifts for them. We are looking forward to the day when we are chosen to be parents, and we will be able to take a child in our arms, feel the joy of being parents, and take responsibility for this baby. We promise you that we will love and take good care of your baby. We will travel together, swim, run, play, cook goodies, laugh, etc. And most importantly, we will tell the baby about you and about your kind heart that you made a difficult decision that gave happiness to our family.

About Ecaterina, by Alexandr

Ecaterina is very kind and loves children very much. Ekaterina likes to take care of others. When we invite guests to our house, she buys toys and goodies for the children. And when we go to church, she always takes sweets or cookies or decorations with her to share with the children and often sits down next to the children and spends time with them. She also takes her nephew’s or friends’ children home and bakes a small cake for everyone and makes cream and the children decorate their own cake. She is the most wonderful wife and mother!

About Alexandr, by Ecaterina

Alexandr is a very kind and caring husband and uncle. He loves kids very much, he is the best babysitter for his nephews. Alexandr is a very caring husband, he works very hard and manages to do what he loves. In his spare time, he plays the tuba, watches football, and plays football with friends. He’s a great romantic who is very attentive to me. When our nephews spend the night with us, he brings them gifts when he comes home from work which they always look forward to. Even after a long day of work, he loves to play with them and they have so much fun together. When it is just the two of us, he likes to come home and go for walks around our city or at nearby parks.  Even though Alexandr doesn’t like to fish, he bought fishing rods for me so we can go fishing together.

Alexander is very kind and caring. When we travel with our relatives, he always helps his sister with the kids, he puts his nephew on his shoulders and walks with him like that, but the nephew is not alone, so we have to take turns riding everyone on our shoulders. Alexandr has a lot of love, he is the best husband and will be the best dad!

Our Way of Life

We have been married since 2013, and we take every opportunity to spend time together and learn more about each other. In the evenings, we like to go for walks through the streets of our city. In the summer, we visit the farmer’s market together. And in winter we go to the farm for milk and make delicious cottage cheese from it, from which my wife bakes delicious buns. We like to cook and eat together. Another big part of our lives is spending time with our families whenever we can. We often watch our nephews who like to go to parks, have picnics, and play with toys that Alexandr brings home for them. We recently went on a trip to Wyoming, and a big highlight for us was bringing cooking gear along to make meals for our whole family. We like to cook food together when we go on vacation to the mountains, we cook food over a campfire, we do a great job. We like to look at the clouds and the stars. and we also like to play board games or active games together. And we also love to sing. We have a lot of the same interests, we are a great couple!

Alexander is kind, attentive, loves to give gifts, loves children very much, loves to travel by car and find interesting places where you can relax. He’s very funny; he knows how to make you laugh, he is very patient and caring and loves animals. Ekaterina is kind, and loves children very much. Since childhood, she has dreamed of being a mother and taking care of her baby. She is caring, loves to cook and bake goodies and give them to others, loves to travel by car, and visit farms. She is friendly, cheerful, sociable, and loves to eat and enjoy food!

Home & Neighborhood

We live in a very beautiful neighborhood. In the vicinity of our house, there are several playgrounds, several lakes, and water parks where we often go with our nephews. In our house, there is a children’s room filled with toys, children’s books, a cot, a stroller for a baby, and strollers for dolls.  We have clothes for babies of different ages and for older children because when guests come to us, it happens that their children got dirty or spill water on themselves so we keep spare clothing ready! In our house, the children have fun and we are happy to serve them. A couple of minutes away from us there are all the necessary shops and even farms with milk. We love our town and can’t wait to raise a child in its quiet, safe environment.

Our Families

We have a big and friendly family and we get together often. We like to spend time together in the park; we roast meat, cook food and have a picnic. Sometimes we take fishing rods and go fishing, we love how happy our nephews are when they manage to catch fish. We like to travel together to the mountains or go to the zoo where animals can come up to the car, it’s a lot of fun. We also have friends with whom we like to spend time together. Sometimes they come to visit us and sometimes we go to visit them, and sometimes we go to a restaurant or bowling alley with friends. We also have friends who live in another state and we do not forget about them and we also go to them for some holidays. We go to visit them. Ekaterina goes to a children’s camp every summer and spends fun time with the children from our church.

Alexandr’s parents live 10 minutes away from us. Every Sunday after church we go to lunch with his parents, and Alexandr’s mom cooks us a very delicious lunch. His older sister and her 5 children live next door to their parents. Alexandr’s oldest nephew is married and has a wonderful daughter and they live about 35 minutes from us. His youngest sisters also live just a few minutes away. Most of Ecaterina’s family, including her brother, sisters, 5 nephews, and parents live in Moldova. Ecaterina’s parents have fostered and adopted children. Her oldest foster sister is married and lives in Germany. The rest of her foster siblings are still young and go to school and college.

Family Traditions

We love to spend all the holidays with our family. At Christmas, we go to church and then we go to Alexandr’s parents. Everyone brings a lot of delicious food and we eat together, sing songs and spend time talking with each other. We have a large family when we are together because Alexandr’s parents have 13 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. We have noisy gatherings, and we like it when kids run, laugh, and play; it’s fun! Alexandr’s youngest sister is preparing for a future family trip. She chooses where the whole family goes because she is such a good planner. We can’t wait for your child to join in our family fun.

Our family has a tradition of visiting our relatives or hosting guests at home. We often have guests at home and we are very glad to see them. Every year we go to Florida and in the fall to the hot springs. We always go on vacation with our extended family and our nephews want to go with us. On our way to vacation, we definitely stop by our nephews’ favorite store, Dollar Tree, and buy small toys there, notebooks to draw on the trip, and necessarily sweets, then we stop at Chick-fil-A, take food with us, and drive on. We love to pamper children with gifts. Ekaterina likes to make bouquets of flowers, fruits and sweets. Last year, Ekaterina made a bouquet of kinder for her niece and her niece said that on this birthday she again wants to receive such a bouquet as a gift, well, cosmetics, and also for Ekaterina to bake a cake for her. We are very happy when we can do something for a child so that this child is happy. When we have our own baby, we will be able to surprise him, please him with gifts, hug him, say that we love, travel, we will buy a bigger car so that our baby and all the nephews can fit in our car, they will have a lot of fun growing up and spending time together.

Our Promise to You

We promise you to love your child unconditionally. We will take care of your baby every day, give them lots of hugs, and tell him or her about you, their courageous mother who made us a happy family. Thank you very much for your courage and for giving us the chance to become parents.
