Dear Expectant Mother,
It is my greatest desire to be a mom. To walk through this life as a teacher, a protector, and a guide. I promise to show your child the most beautiful parts of life and offer opportunities that will help him or her become successful.
I will hold your child lovingly in my arms when they cry. I will teach them to be compassionate to all people, especially themselves. We will share a bond that is tender and kind, and that makes you want to cry because your heart swells bigger than you could ever imagine.
The first 5 years are the most important in shaping a child’s future, stimulating intelligence and creativity. My heart and home are ready to shelter a precious family. I am a single woman and the love I have is more than enough to enrich a child’s life. I can’t wait to hold a sweet little hand and be a mommy. I promise to give everything. I got you.
I am so thrilled to become a forever mommy. I have had precious connections with little kids my whole life, and every time they sit on my lap, I feel complete. The way they look for guidance, learn to trust, and the way they see the world, is so precious to witness. I found myself becoming a natural teacher, always explaining, always sharing information. When I was a teenager, my brother and my dad both died suddenly, and it threw my life into a different direction.
I did not follow the normal path of growing up, getting married, and having a baby. I traveled, searched, and questioned, and now, I am calm, wise and full of love. I had two miscarriages as well, and I learned that this is very common. Still, I wondered what I was supposed to do. I decided to help kids from hard places and it made me realize, I want to be a mother with all my heart. That is why I am ready to adopt. That is why I am here. If you pick me to care for your child, he or she will be blessed with opportunities, good fortune, and so much love.
It’s important to stay in the flow and be grateful. Family and community are everything and I am blessed to live in a safe, close-knit neighborhood with a loving network. My family and friends are thrilled for a baby to come and they are eager to help out. Our bond will grow every moment, as we snuggle, read, and watch movies. We will learn letters and numbers, as well as the ABC’s in sign language. We will practice mindfulness and slow breathing together.
Being active helps kids grow strong and build confidence. Running, climbing, and swimming will be infused in our lifestyle. I will encourage creativity and self-expression. We will play games like hide and seek and do puzzles. We will bake together. We will sing, dance and play musical instruments, including drums and piano. My passion for learning and having patience will help your child succeed. They will know how to manage life’s ups and downs and will always know how special they are.
My experiences in life have prepared me to become a great mom. I will encourage my child to make choices at a young age, so they can handle big decisions later on. I will also ask adults to speak directly to them, instead of about them, so they can find their voice, be more secure, and realize their self-worth. They will be educated in business, and finance, and have their own cash box.
I have never adopted a child, but I took care of a 1-year-old for two years. He lived in my home while his mother got the help needed to get back on her feet. I always talked positively about her and supported their bond and relationship. This was the most rewarding experience I have ever known. I am stronger because of it and look forward to having this type of bond again.
Pennsylvania is a beautiful place to raise a family. My home is warm and inviting, with a big playroom in the basement and a fenced in yard. Kids can roll or sled down a small hill. I am one mile from the river, where we take paddle boards out a few times a year. My mom lives 10 minutes away on a gorgeous property with a creek running through. That’s where I grew up with ATV’s, a pool, and a lot of great memories with my siblings! I am grateful to be back in this area, so I can provide similar experiences to a little one, while my parents spoil them. I love living in a city with rivers and mountains. This area has culture, diversity, ethnic food, beautiful parks, and many attractions. We have the Crayola Factory, where kids can play indoors and do art, the Steel Stacks where music festivals are held, and the Da Vinci Science Center. We are one hour from New York City and the New Jersey Shore. There is so much to do and see here.
The closest person in my life, is my best friend and neighbor! She helps me build furniture and, take care of the kids I have watched over the years. We go on adventures together, hiking and traveling. She would be a big support to your child. She loves sports and always finds cool toys, like Styrofoam rockets, sliding boards, remote control cars, and even a Nintendo Switch! If something breaks, I usually ask her to fix it!
Family is everything. My mom and stepdad are kind and supportive, always ready with advice and guidance. We spend a lot of time together having dinner, swimming, or walking around their property. My mom is often mowing or making soups, and finding ways to use her veggies from the garden! I have two sisters, one has a husband and son, my nephew is 15 and is very intelligent. He plays football and has his own YouTube channel. My other sister, has two kids, 17 and 19. My nephews work on my parents’ property, weed whacking and learning how to be handy. My niece has traveled with me to California, cross-country, and just moved to Idaho! I have always loved teaching them and watching them grow up.
Nice Things They’ve Said About Me!
Language and culture are a big part of my life. My great-grandparents immigrated from Sicily, Austria and Hungary. I live in a neighborhood with a strong Lebanese population, including my closest friend and neighbor. The little boy I took care of for two years was Puerto Rican and Native American and people thought he was my biological son. We watched TV shows and read books about Spanish culture, and I cooked with spices and foods that are popular for his heritage. I have friends who are Puerto Rican and there is large Hispanic population in this area. I lived in Los Angeles for 14 years and met people from all backgrounds. Working with deaf people helps me understand what it means to be a part of a minority culture. My job is to advocate and empower everyday. I would be happy to share any traditions or foods that would like to pass down.
I love reading books to kiddos before bedtime. They get a warm bath and snuggle in to bed. My favorite books are, “The Rabbit Listens,” which emphasizes how important it is be there for each other, and “The Color Monster,” which talks about emotions.
My family loves to eat! We cook and share recipes. We get together for holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Quality time is a gift and having family dinners is something I hold dear.
Every day is precious as we walk through life. Some days will be active, while other moments will embrace rest and relaxation, honoring our mood and intuition. We might go for ice cream or watch movies on the couch with blankets and popcorn.
Annual vacations will include camping trips and going to the beach or river. My parents used to take us out on the boat when we were little, water skiing, jumping off rocks, swimming in the lake. My family and I share a cabin in the mountains. We love to go boating and sit by the fire. It’s a great place for kids to learn about bugs and being outdoors.
It is an honor and privilege that you are considering me to raise your child. I am continuously in awe of the mysteries of life’s journey. I am eager and optimistic to see what the future holds and to connect with you. As difficult as this might be, I hope you see the blessing that you are. I hope I can be there with you when you bring your baby into the world. And once we are able to get to know each other better, we can find the best path forward. I will support you and your child wholeheartedly.
“God bless this broken road, that lead me straight to you.”
With respect and gratitude.
Stefanie
