From Us to You

We thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our story with you. Ever since we got married 9 years ago, we have wanted children. For you to even consider us means the world to us. Your baby will be loved and our number one priority. They will be loved not only by us but by our families as well. Our families are very caring, loving and are there for us whenever we need them. Your baby will have a lot of uncles, aunts and grandparents to spoil him or her. We also have lots of nieces and nephews that are very excited and can’t wait for another cousin to play with. For you to grant us the opportunity to become parents would make our life finally feel complete.  We appreciate your thoughtfulness and courage so much. Your kindness will never be forgotten, and you will be cherished for the rest of our lives.

Why We Are Choosing to Adopt

We love kids and we only want to provide the best for your baby. Becoming parents will make our lives complete. We treat everyone with kindness and respect.  We want to teach your child these same values and to be an independent and great person.  Damir loves sports and he would teach him or her about sports.  We both value education and will do everything possible to provide your child with the best education possible.  We will go to the park together, travel to see the world, and spend lots of time together as a family.

About Mirela, by Damir

Mirela is very shy at first, but after she gets to know people, she likes to make them laugh. She is a very caring and honest person.  Mirela is the youngest of five siblings; she has three sisters and one brother. She became an aunt for the first time when she was just eight years old. She loves spending time with our nieces and nephews and likes taking them to the movies or baking together.  Mirela loves water and swimming in the ocean. Another favorite thing for her to do every day is walking our dog Max and spending time with him.  Mirela works from home as Patient Access Representative and she loves it. Working from home is something she always wanted to do.  Before this, she worked with kids as a Medical Assistant at a Pediatric office for eleven years. She loves being surrounded by kids.

About Damir, by Mirela

Damir is the youngest of three siblings; he has two brothers. He likes to help everyone in need and anytime someone calls him to help to fix something in the house or something outside he is up for it. When he’s not fixing things around the house, he loves being outside. One of his favorite things to do is ride his bike on the trail.  Damir also likes playing soccer during his free time and watching sports. He loves spending time with our nieces and nephews. Damir enjoys learning about history and likes to travel. These two things have led us to visit historical places.  He also likes to BBQ and hang out with our family and friends. He works as an HVAC Service Technician and he loves his job. He is very hardworking and independent.

Our Dog, Max

Another member of our family is our dog, Max.  He is a Miniature Pinscher who is full of energy and loves to cuddle.  Max likes to play outside in our yard, and he loves his daily walks around our neighborhood.  Max also enjoys going to our family’s house next street over and playing in their yard.  Max loves to play with kids and our niece’s dog Charlie. Everyone in our neighborhood knows who Max is and they all love him because he is funny and playful.

Lifestyle

Our favorite thing to do on the weekends is to have breakfast together and go for a walk with our dog, Max. We are lucky enough to live close to our families. When the weather is nice, we like to barbecue while our nieces and nephews play with Max. Damir loves to prepare and grill different foods, but steak is his favorite. Mirela likes to make dessert, or at times she will buy something special for everyone to enjoy. As a family, we love to hang out, play games and have fun together. Sometimes we take short trips over the weekend to explore new places.

Home & Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with very friendly neighbors. We live within walking distance of schools. There is a walking trail close to our home where many families go for walks or to ride their bikes. We have trees everywhere and it’s very beautiful. We have a big fenced-in yard. On the side of the house, we have a gazebo where we sit to enjoy beautiful weather.  Some of our family lives in the same neighborhood. We like to walk to each other’s houses to sit outside and BBQ together. We also have a seating area in the front of the house where we enjoy sitting with our dog, Max.  Both of us love nature and being outside.

What Kind of Parents We Will Be

The best thing we can do as parents is getting kids to a place where they can handle things on their own and be there for them every step of the way. We will strive to provide care, attention, and unconditional love no matter what. We will give your child lots of support in everything they wish to pursue in life. Having a happy and loving home is very important to us. With our large extended family, your child will have a lot of good role models to look up to.

I (Mirela) will be a stay-at-home mom and Damir and I are committed to making sure your child has everything they need to succeed in life. We want your child to have a joyous, healthy, and prosperous life. We will spend some weekends at home cooking delicious food and watching cartoons. We may go on a family outing, to the aquarium or the Magic House. On Halloween, we can trick-or-treat or have a bonfire while sharing candy with other kids. We like to spend all our holidays surrounded by our families.

Travel

We love to travel and visit new places.  One of our favorite places to visit is Los Angeles. Mirela lived there for four years before moving to Missouri.  She still has relatives that reside there, and we visit them when we can.  We both love the ocean and have traveled to Mexico and the Dominican Republic several times.  We love nature, so if we aren’t traveling, we are spending our free time at local parks.
